Fees and Rebates
Therapy Fees
While a GP referral is not required to access psychological therapy, individuals with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from their GP are eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Full payment is required at the beginning of each appointment, with Medicare rebates processed on the spot. If you’ve provided your bank details to Medicare, you can expect your rebate to be deposited into your account within 1-5 business days. Additionally, any out-of-pocket gap fees count towards your family’s Medicare Safety Net, potentially reducing healthcare costs once the threshold is reached.

Assessment Fees
Assessment fees at Compass Clinical Psychology vary depending on the type of assessment, the age of the individual, and their specific needs or presenting concerns. Our team will provide a detailed overview of indicative costs following your initial consultation.
Assessments are comprehensive and tailored to provide clarity and actionable recommendations, with fees reflective of the expertise and tools required to deliver high-quality care. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your needs and receive further information about pricing.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible for rebates depending on your level of cover and individual Health Fund’s policies. Full payment is required at the beginning of each appointment, with instant rebates available if your health fund subscribes to HICAPS. Rebates can otherwise be claimed directly through your health fund. Please check with your insurer to confirm your eligibility and the rebate amount available for psychology services.

To make the process as seamless as possible, Compass Clinical Psychology offers the following payment options:
- EFTPOS (Cheque, Savings, or Credit)
- Cash
- Cheque (please ask the reception staff as to whom to make the cheque payable)
- Credit card payments over the phone
